About Qigong

”If you want to be healthy and live to 100, do qigong.” ~ Dr. Mehmet Oz

Qigong (pronounced chee gung) is the practice of energy cultivation for health. It comes from the words Qi, meaning vital energy or life force and Gong, meaning practice, or mastery of a skill requiring dedication.

There are hundreds of styles of qigong. Some are very gentle and more internal, while others are dynamic. Qigong connects us to the body and breath, reducing stress and increasing health.

Crane Tiger specializes in several forms of Qigong ranging from those with gentle relaxing movement, such as Shibashi, to Shiba Luohan Gong, which is a muscle and Tendon changing set that builds strength, flexibility and energy. Tai Chi is considered a more sophisticated and complex form of Qigong.
